Read these Words of Jesus Himself and really process what He is saying here...

"Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you.

LET NOT YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED, neither let it be afraid." - John 14:27 NKJV (emphasis mine)

Notice that He first identifies the solution to the problem we all face today and everyday. Which is the second mentioned item in the verse. The temptation to allow 'stuff' to trouble our hearts or cause fear.

With the problem though, He gives us the insight that we must NOT LET those things have that power over us... very clearly indicating that it is a CHOICE.

In the first part we see Him pronouncing that He has ALREADY given us His peace. If that is true (which it definitely is), then we must choose every moment of every day to NOT LET anything come into our heart which causes us to be troubled, anxious, or fearful. If we do, we allow the peace He has given us to be drowned out!

Remember always what He has promised...

"For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand, Saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.’" - Isaiah 41:13 NKJV

... He has given us His Word!

No matter what is happening around you at any time, CHOOSE to not let your heart be troubled... but #trust Him instead... that way you stay present in the peace that passes all understanding and can watch as His power keeps you from the evil one just as Jesus asked in John 17.

Make this your mantra... the cry of faith and trust to your Savior...

"The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?" - Psalms 118:6 NKJV

And always remember to stay in the present... don't allow circumstances to get your mind projecting fearful things into your future! Just as Jesus encouraged us here...

"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble." - Matthew 6:34 NKJV

We love you and are praying that you walk in His peace... every moment of every day!
