In Day 3 of our 40-Day Journey with Jesus: A Lenten Reflection, we begin with Romans 4:20-25 NIV.
"Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. This is why “it was credited to him as righteousness.” The words “it was credited to him” were written not for him alone, but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness—for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification."
We hear you. We know that, it can be difficult to let go and trust and have faith in God's plan, especially when we cannot see what is coming. When our mind wanders from a place of trust, we find it helpful to pause and focus our eyes back on The One and His promises. We are comforted by today's scripture, which shares the testimony of Abraham's incredible faith. The scripture goes on to share the story of just one of the promises God made to Him coming true. After many other incredible acts of obedience, trust, and faith, Abraham, at 99 years of age, continues to trust God.
