EP-35 | Day 35

Welcome to our “Get Out with God” podcast.  We are Rick and Kristine Ingraham, founders of The Viking and the Lioness Ministries, Inc.  Our mission is to encourage people to “Get Out with God” in order to begin to heal, become whole and live well… spirit + soul + body.

We hope that this podcast blesses you with the Word of the Lord and serves as bite-sized encouragement as you clear the clutter, quiet the noise and draw closer in your relationship with the Lord.

In Day 35 of our 40-Day Journey with Jesus: A Lenten Reflection, we begin with Mark 11:12-14, 20-23.

Dear brothers and sisters,

We hope you had an amazing Palm Sunday to kick off the annual celebration of the Resurrection Week of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! We can find the genesis of the story of Palm Sunday in each one of the Gospels. Matthew 21:1-11Mark 11:1-11Luke 19:28-44, and John 12:12-19 all chronicle the amazing fulfillment of that wonderful prophecy in Zechariah 9:9 which foretold the very coming of Jesus into Jerusalem over 500 years before it happened!

“Rejoice greatly, O Daughter of Zion! Shout, Daughter of Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and having salvation, gentle and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.” Zechariah 9:9 NKJV

Join us on Wednesday’s podcast where we will discover one of the most astounding prophecies in all of the bible pointed to in the Luke 19 passage above.

And as we move on into today’s scripture in the gospel of Mark, we invite you to join us as we look at some of the events that took place the Monday before the crucifixion. We think you’ll get some new and amazing insight into your inheritance in Jesus!

Daily Scripture:

“12 Now the next day, when they had come out from Bethany, He was hungry. 13 And seeing from afar a fig tree having leaves, He went to see if perhaps He would find something on it. When He came to it, He found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs. 14 In response Jesus said to it, “Let no one eat fruit from you ever again.” And His disciples heard [it].

... 20 Now in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. 21 And Peter, remembering, said to Him, "Rabbi, look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered away." 22 So Jesus answered and said to them, "Have faith in God. 23 "For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” Mark 11:12-14, 20-23 NKJV

In His precious love,

Shalom shalom (perfect peace)
